Your acne will be evaluated by our professional therapists, who will then recommend an individualized regimen involving a treatment or combination of treatments which may include: MICRODERMABRASION - A non invasive technique that works on the top layer of the skin. This procedure exfoliated the skin by removing dead skin cells, clearing clogged pores of oil and dirt and killing bacteria. BLUE LIGHT THERAPY - Non invasive therapy during which patients are exposed to a light source in order to treat and kill the acne bacteria. OXYGEN THERAPY - Oxygenates and detoxifies skin, calms acne, regenerates cells which in turn helps in acne scar healing. Acne is formed when the skin cells are clogged, trapping dirt and oils in them, causing the pores to be enlarged. The oxygen helps in shrinking the pores and doesn’t let your skin accumulate dust and dirt. As a result, it remains glowing longer, and you won’t get annoying pimples, zits and acne.
1 HOUR TREATMENT
The number of and length of Cold Laser treatments will vary depending on several factors:
At the beginning of treatment, you will likely be prescribed a course of six weeks of Cold Laser sessions occurring weekly. Depending on the strength of light being used (which is directly related to how bad your acne is), and how much surface area of your skin needs to be treated. Sessions range between 45 minutes to 60 minutes each.
As your skin responds to treatment, your health care provider will further assess how many additional treatments may be required in order to completely resolve your acne, leaving you with clear beautiful skin. Cold Laser treatment for acne is a work in progress, and results may vary.
In many cases, our patients begin to see results after just one treatment! Because Cold Laser treatments are non-invasive and do not cause destruction or damage to the surrounding skin and tissues, it is entirely possible to see improvement after your first treatment. Keep in mind, ideally you should continue your treatments until your skin has cleared.
The Cold Laser light works inside the cells, encouraging healing and regeneration, so even if your skin looks better after the first treatment, you should continue to have additional sessions to ensure that all of the bacteria that causes acne has been destroyed, resulting in a smooth and clean appearance to your skin, and reducing the risk of experiencing another outbreak.
Once the root cause of your acne has been treated (namely, bacteria), your skin will likely continue to look great after you have completed your Cold Laser treatments. While it’s possible that you may experience an outbreak from time to time, this can happen to anyone. Things like diet, lifestyle, hygiene habits and stress levels can all contribute to a break out, but if you address these issues while you are receiving your Cold Laser treatments, you’re likely to have clean clear skin going forward.
Additionally, we recommend having preventive treatments once every few months after you have completed your initial course of treatment. This will help to keep bacteria levels low, and allow the regenerating and rejuvenating benefits of Cold Laser treatment to continue even when your skin looks great on the outside.
Cold Laser treatment is a highly effective treatment for acne, no matter where it appears on your body. The treatment is painless and quick, and in no time you will see clear beautiful skin emerge. The treatment is safe and there are no side effects.
